Kaiser Chiefs and Tom Odell added to MTV Crashes Coventry event
Both will join Chase & Status and play the opening night at the Ricoh Arena.
Formed in Leeds in 2003, Kaiser Chiefs consists of Ricky Wilson, Andrew White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines and Vijay Mistry.

Hide AdFronted by the charismatic Wilson, their trademark indie rock sound has delivered a string of anthems such as Oh My God, I Predict A Riot, Everyday I Love You Less And Less, Ruby and Never Miss A Beat.
The band are currently working on their sixth studio album which is due for release later in the year.
Speaking about the announcement the band said: “We can’t wait to crash Coventry.
“We played MTV Crashes Plymouth two years ago and it was amazing, we are so excited to do it all over again this year.”

Hide AdJoining the Kaiser Chiefs will be English singer songwriter, Tom Odell.
Following his BRITs Critics’ Choice Award win in 2013, Odell released his debut album Long Way Down which topped the charts and has sold more than one millions copies.
He went on to win the Ivor Novello award for Songwriter of the Year in 2014.
Tom is now putting the finishing touches to his much-anticipated second album, due for release later this year. All three acts will play the Midlands arena on Friday, May 27.

Hide AdClub MTV will close the two day event on the Saturday with a night of dance anthems, with acts to be announced next week.
MTV Crashes Coventry will be broadcast on MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels and shown in more than 35 countries.
Individual day tickets cost £10 with combined two-day tickets also available.
