Warwick Words’ autumn festival
The Autumn Festival weekend will run from October 3 to 6 .
Festival director Helen Meeke said: “Many of the summer festival-goers said how much they liked the new two-part festival format and we look forward to welcoming them in the autumn.”
Guests will include veteran journalist and best-selling author Kate Adie, who will talk about her book Fighting on the Home Front about how women emerged from the shadows of their domestic lives during the First World War.

Hide AdHighly respected broadcaster and journalist Peter Snow will discuss his book When Britain Bunred the White House, which highlights the moment in history when the US army is defeated in battle by an invading British force and the far-reaching consequences.
Film critic, journalist, writer and broadcaster Barry Norman will talk about his heart-felt memoir, See You in the Morning, which is a candid, witty and moving account of life, love, marriage and loss.
Several acclaimed writers are listed among those returning to the festival.
Sarah Dunnant will be discussing her epic new novel Blood & Beauty: The Borgias, Pauline Prior Pitt will be reading her new poetry collection Elsewhere and best-selling author Peter Conradi who wrote The King’s Speech will talk about his latest book Hot Dogs and Cocktails, the story behind the historic meeting between Franklin D Roosevelt and King George VI on the even of the Second World War.
Comedian and author Mark Watson will also be performing and reading from his novels.
