Matchstick bonsai is the people’s choice at Leamington gallery
A bonsai tree created out of matchsticks most impressed visitors to the Open 2013 exhibition at the Pump Room gallery in Leamington this spring.
Artist Lawrence Molloy, who created the piece, was presented with a £500 prize by Warwick District councillor Stephen Cross and gallery publicity officer Alice Swatton.
More than 1,000 votes were cast during the exhibition, during which people were asked to vote for their favourite artwork.
